This is powerchair football with rules and standards being adopted internationally. Clubs are now being formed all over the country, guided by the Wheelchair Football Association and the first ever UK league was launched in 2006. Celtic Storm reached the quarter finals that year and now field two teams in the league.
We have a number of dedicated powerchairs, although some players use their own chairs with attachments provided by the club to enable play. The club’s own powerchairs have enabled us to open up to new players - those with a physical disability who do not normally use a powerchair. The club is expanding and welcomes anyone who wishes to try out the game or just come along and watch.
